Oct 01, 2020 Geologically, the Mesozoic successions of the Jaisalmer Basin are represented by a sequence of shale, siltstone, sandstone and limestone. Lithostratigraphically these rocks have been grouped into Lathi, Jaisalmer, Baisakhi, Bhadasar, Pariwar and Abur formations in ascending order (Oldham, 1886; Swaminath et al., 1959; Pareek, 1981).
